APRC `approves` 13 amendment in Sri Lanka

The political parties that attended the All Party Representative Committee (APRC) unanimously agreed for a political solution, a member of the APRC said.
Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, who represented United National Party (UNP) Democratic Wing, said the body agreed that the 13 amendment for the constitution as the best solution.

Even the Sinhala nationalist Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) agreed to establish separate Provincial Councils (PC) for the north and the east, he said.

The devil is in the detail, good start guys get on with it, dont expect Tamils to jump up and down with joy.
What kind of 13th amendment was agreed? Wheres Witharana? why is he quite, have they killed him?

I understand 13th amendment was agreed when JR had the pact with India in 1987, it took them nearly quarter of a century to even come this far?

This so called 'proposal' is to evade an international community's pressure, which is pushing Banana republic to nearly edge of bankruptcy.

I don't think any right minded Tamil will accept this half baked political settlement after unprecedented amount of precious lives had been lost.
