PeaceMaker:

My father worked in Jaffna therefore he could speak Tamil. Our domestic helpers were mostly upcountry Tamils. They raised us when we young. We treated them as family. Our family doctor was a Tamil.

Your 'Ceylon' is qute different from present 'Sri Lanka'!

If Sinhalays treated Tamils as family, why did they kill 5000 Tamils in one day in 1983?

If there was a new Eelam state declared today, president would not be VP or Nadesan, but more likely be R Sampanthan.

July 83 is the darkest hour in Sri Lankan history.

UNP thugs, VP and people who lost their sense made it happed.

If VP didn't take up arms July 83 would not have happed.

It is nearly 25 years since July 83 now. People have learnt their lessons I think.

You say VP has said he never wanted to be head of Eelam, how can any sensible person with a right mind ever trust a man like V/P. his past has been nothing but one big lie (1) CFA is good case in point,he never honored his commitments,

I remember very clearly when negotiations were going on in Geneva SLA were killing people in Jaffna. You talking about CFA violations?
Get your head out of the ground and see the reality.Who is violating the CFA.........what difference dose it make ........it is war and MR has shown he is the one who is not for peace not VP.

Ever since CFA was signed, GOSL never followed it as SL army failed to vacate Tamil civilian's houses and public buildings

therefore GOSL supporters saying CFA was violated 20 times more by LTTE than GOSL does not mean anything. GOSL never followed CFA from day one and LTTE did not affect a single Sinhalese civilian until 2005. GOSL prevented 10s of thousands of civilians returning to their houses and made them live in squalid refugee camps as IDPs.

GoSL .....learn?
This two do not mix.
It is like teaching old dogs new tricks, it is impossible.
GoSL is not teachable neither dose it learn anything from its mistakes.

Unless the people of Sorry Lanka realize it and get a progressive govt. Sorry Lanka is going down.

Well, for you Mahawamsa is Truth.

Kural where did I say that Mahawamsa is 'the Truth'?

Mahawamsa is an ancient chronicle but not a scientific study of history of Sri Lanka since it says about things centuries prior to the time it was written from folk lore, mythology , and etc. However the historical artifacts found by archaeologists predating the time of Mahawamsa being written ,corresponds well with what Mahawamsa says giving a reasonable credibility of the facts found in Mahawamsa. The story that Buddha visited three times to Sri Lanka is absolute crap written for the Singhalese Buddhists. Even Professor Paranavithana who claimed that he found Arahat Mahinda's tomb to please people during Buddha Jayanthi celebration didn't buy that story.

Five countries issue travel ban on Sri Lanka

I think, this is only warning issue to Tamils who still try and get to North or East and get stuck in places where they cant return to cmb to cat their flights.
All said embassies in cmb receive min. 3-4 calls per day in that categories. Tourists to southern beaches have almost gone freezed.

One of my friend, who is a FC of one of the resort told me that 'there are Tamil tourists prefer to go and occupy those souther beach resorts. They still feels that with their valid documents will give them the safe passage to their holidays. they even renting extra rooms and inviting their relatives from war zones to enjoy the time'.

All and all, War just become ordinary day business, and business going as usual at lest to those Tamils who can show the money & (valid documents..!)
