We have to read and try to think, before give any bias conclusion.
Do you think, GOSL and Divaina sit and created all those stories, within few hours..?
Bit hard for me to think in that line.
Papers are also having a big competition in SL. They try to publish something different from others, soon.
Also, dont think south is believing all what papers are telling. I went to SL in Dec,. and saw how things are moving.
Now what we will see next is, LTTE is doing something smart to avoid all-out conventinal war. They cant face it. Even LTTE boats are not running well now.

LTTE destroyed four bunkers in Kalyanapura located in Manalaru area, killing four soldiers. These bunkers formed part of the defence system established to protect Sinhala colonization scheme in Weli Oya.

with the level of training hardcore ltte fighting cadres have...i have serious doubts that you can train such a huge number into 'fully trained regular infantry' levels as you say...
maybe it's one of those human wave things ltte used to do before sending in their hardcore fighting units for the kill...
As far as history shows...after SLDF acquiring RM70's the human wave strategy hasn't worked for the tigers...
Especially when SLDF is getting foreign electronic intel, better ground intel and even local electronic intel via UAV's etc...
