who lead the Tamil civilians into believing that defeating the sinhalese is possible and that 'superior' Tamil ego can achieve that :-)
no one is superior to another race, and most of us are not interested in 'defeating' Sinhalese. but what we would like to see is Sinhalese showing same level of concern when Tamils are killed as to when Sinhalese get killed.

Not at all, its war, we don't live in a fairy tale la la land like some mahavamasa soaked Sinhala Talibans, how many of our leaders have you killed over the years? Are you any closer to crushing our aspirations for freedom? Not a chance.
Too bad your leaders cannot see what is plain as day to the whole world, the only way this will end is when you give us justice.
But while some of us live in the vain hope this will happen the realists amongst us, like myself, know it will NEVER happen, so seperation is the only answer and we will work towards that goal in whatever capacity that we can. |

LTTE needs to better protect its leaders.
there is a culture in the LTTE whereby youre supposed to lead from the front.even when you get promoted you dont get to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labour.
in fact i would even argue that getting promoted is in fact bad!
a good example is Charles. here is the head of Military intel tasked with going to the front line and leading from the front. the way they got shankar in 2001 was very few folks traveled by car/van and so identifying these leaders was easy. An isolated road with few vehicles being traveled and all the army has to do is be lucky once which they were.
when kausalyan was killed it was said that Kausalyan disregarded security and went on his way.top world leaders are protected by body guards and the VIP listens to them and not the other way around.
i hope this changes and changes fast!

| In a way turmoil is pakistan is kind of good for us. the pakis will be less interested to donate weapons and that in turn will enable the curse of the sub continent, The Indians to take it a bit easy and not worry about the paks getting a foot hold into the island. |

it's the area where Patan's have the power (area closer and surrounding Pshawar), there are some towns where police or army have no access even.... drugs, adultory, fordgery.....etc are well from that area....
