TRue there is no gender role anymore,
Those who believe in that will be taken care of by the ladies :))

True,
But I don't care who cooks, as long as it is edible,......

Isn't that the ultimate expectation of food ?,... Taste, nutrition value and everything comes secondary.

Between 2002 and 2005, before Mahinda came to power, there was an opportunity for the govt to put a solution on the table. They never did. They lost a golden opportunity to wean away the tamils from the LTTE.

The only solution that was on the table was that of the LTTE- the ISGA. It wasn't even discussed before the sinhala nationalists tore it to pieces. Then came the demerging of the North and East provinces further alienating the two parties in the conflict.

With the JHU and the JVP hell bent on defeating the Tigers militarily I don't think any sinhala govt in power will dare put forward a reasonable devolution proposal. Therefore war was supported by the majority sinhalas and that's what they are going to get. They cannot expect to live peacefully in the south expecting the tamils to bear the brunt of it.

If the tamils are suffering so will the sinhalas in this war. No escape fro any community.

LTTE were not sincere in the past negotiations

The mistake you make is to show the LTTE as an excuse to deny the Tamils of the just political solution they deserve.

I will bet all I have on this statement:

Implement a just political solution with sincereity - the situation will change overnight. The LTTE will be forced to tow the line. The biggest setback suffered by the LTTE ever was the Karuna split. Ranil achieved this without spilling a drop of blood on either side. Our modaya president has sacrificed so many thousands of lives in two years. Is he any closer to a solution? NO!

The rights of the Tamils should not and will not depend on the military fortunes of one organization.

For ML,
I called Kaputa/Kaluwa after his wedding night,... I asked him how he is doing,... except the obvious thing,...
As usual started he with 'this mother,...... don't know how to cook, they have cooked the coconut leaves and served for us,...
I was starving all night,...etc etc,... and it was the funniest thing I have ever heard from a friend after his wedding night,...
His wedding took place at the Mt. Lavinia hotel,... He was cursing Dr. Pubilis all the day,....

Majority of the people in LNP are married.

So MR Brown should consider a dating service for Extramarital Affair.

I had the same problem.

Look at the Open quote and the close quote on your left when you post.
