Pera,
Situation is really bad. People started spreading rumors. I am really scared of ethnic backclash in the south!!
This is probably what VP wants to achieve his ultimate aim.
Mahinda is helping him enormously.

Dear Pera,
I am not withdrawing any of my words. But I only clarified it. I agree with Priyanthi. I also consider you an educated Sinhalese. YOU SAID NO TIGERS IN THE SOUTH. NOW YOU SAY DIFFERENTLY. WHY THESE CONFUSIONS. |

Not seeing is not happening.
The SL government denied access to media reporters, international observers and UN diplomats to visit and see the civilian massacres in the North east. SLA, SLAF, SLN and paramilitaries have turned the Northeast into an open prison and hunting ground.
Whatever happens in the South is given wide publicity as a propaganda to demonise LTTE. The real demon is free to bomb, kill and torture Tamils in the Northeast.
Military Intelligence founded Deep Penetration Unit for the twin purposes of carrying out claymore mining and booby traps to kill LTTE cadres / Tamil civilians and blame the LTTE.

Pharoah,
'Collateral' is the word used to excuse the civilian deaths in war.
Dropping a bomb in a crowded civilian area because there was a military target among them is justified by states including Sri Lanka, US and UK.It is criminal but when a state does it nobody criticises it.
That is why tamil civilian deaths in SL aerial bombings and artillery attacks are not condemned by anybody.

Guys
I watched an interview on BBC-world news today.
A 'Sri lanka Expert' named Duffy was being interviewed by George Allgiah.
Duffy guy seems to be clearly labeling LTTE as a Terrorist outfit and seems to be confirming the upper hand gained by GOSL.
True to their nature BBC tried to dig up some dirt
eg. 'Well do you think whether there's anything beyound the military approach/impending victory ?' etc.
Duffy guy says-though there's not full consensus -there's a substantial package & so on
(These are not the exact words though.)
Watch it on its repeats if you can. Seems a very good one from GOSL perspective- A real rarity from BBC!

Dear all,
Nadesan is nothing but a Previous 'Ralahami' what the hell he talks. He earned and learned from GOSL now he talks big things. Wait and see 'Ralahami' Sri lanka is a place for all the communities but not for Tamil LTTE. |

Art of War is in full action. The whole world is paying close attention to how the battles are fought and won in Vanni.
LTTE is always a step ahead, then only SLDF learn it in a hard way.
SLDF is the one has to move in and wage the battle and capture ground where as LTTE has unlimited options at their disposal.
Heavy weapons do not win war, The Clear strategy and dedicated fighters will win.
SLDF is heavily reliant on Heavy weapons which gives them a false sense of confidence.

i think there is a greater chance of ethnic backlash now under Rajapakse than previous leaders like CBK, Premadasa
if there is another July 83 violence in Colombo, this time the Sinhalese will not make effort to save Tamils, let them take refuge in their houses. many Tamils think the Sinhalese hate the Tamils more now (in last 2 years) than ever before
