The Tamil Tigers say they will `never be defeated` despite Sri Lankan authorities vowing to wipe them out within months.
Head of LTTE political wing, P Nadesan, told the BBC that the LTTE has experienced similar statements during their 30-year old struggle against Sri Lankan state.
The recently appointed political head was reacting to Sri Lanka Army Commander, Sarath Fonseka`s comments that the LTTE will be defeated before the end of the year.
Speaking over the phone with BBC Colombo Correspondent Roland Buerk, the former LTTE police chief denied accusations that his organisation forcefully recruits civilians for combat.
It was the first interview in English since he was appointed the head of the political wing, following the assassination of SP Thamilselvan on 02 November, last year.
`No. People, they like to join us. We never force the people. LTTE is a people`s organisation,` P Nadesan told the BBC.
When pointed out by Roland Buerk that, during his last trip to Kilinochchi, he himself met people who were forced to join the LTTE, the political wing head once again denied doing so.

| In a way this is true! They don't need to hold land to fight. Even if all land is captured by GOSL, terrorism can still exist! |

| THe fact that Sinhala leaders hide from the sinhala public who support war only solution, is that LTTE is supported by Tamils up and down the country, even more so after witnessing extremist policies by the Mahinda Modaya gvt just listening to JVP JHU to hold on to power!! |

I do not agree Mr. Nadesan... but not as Ponseka stated... within 100 days 200 days...
with heavy military operations, cutting off LTTE relations and funding from outside......etc LTTE can be defeated ... but not eliminated..
Plus...... military action can / may defeat LTTE and its organized operation..... but can't solve the ethnic problem... Guerilla strugles never been defeated... look at Iraq and Afganistan |

| LTTE can start counting their days left in Wanni. Blood thirsty Prabhakaran can think how he should commit suicide soon. The Army is advancing in all fronts.LTTE is crying for help from the international community. LTTE is very worried about human rights now. LTTE never respected human rights. |
