Hindu, jan 15. COLOMBO: The Special Peace Envoy of Japan, Yasushi Akashi, on Monday pledged his country?s continuing commitment to Sri Lanka and to extending economic assistance, in his discussions with President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Mr. Akashi is in Sri Lanka to study developments following the government?s decision to abrogate the Cease Fire Agreement with the LTTE and to apprise Colombo of the Japanese government?s stance vis-À-vis the latest developments.
According to official sources, Mr. Akashi expressed Japan?s satisfaction at the efforts made by Mr. Rajapaksa to reach a consensus on arriving at a negotiated solution to the ethnic question.

Akashi shown MR version../ Nothing to hesitate.
If Akashi make nonsense MR will stop his involvement,he will have to close his peace office in Tokyo and retire.
Japanese government do no proper foreign policy,they just make voice to super powers.
Japan do no vision in peace making,when they fail to make neighbors friendly.
After 50 years from war they still claiming territory from Russia,China and Korea.
Some south Asian countries including China claiming for comfort women.
Japan will lend, will lend, and lend to any beggar and make living from interests.
Even if Sri lanka divides they will be the most happier ?
another borrower.
