The problem in Ceylon was the illegal Sinhala Only enacted by Sinhala Buddhists.

Iran was Americas biggest ally sometimes ago prior to it became a Islamic State.Today they are worse enemies of USA because Iran would not give into bullying. Today Iran has allied with Russian Federation and China while enjoying much of their High tech requirements.Iran is a economically stabilized Oil rich country and always had good relationship with Sri Lanka as mush as Iraq did with Sri Lanka.Sri Lanka has always maintained it's neutrality over International Affairs and for that reason Sri Lanka has more friendly countries to depend on if needed.
Bush is seeking help from middle east countries to overcome Iran issues and Iran's direct involvement in Islamic Groups though it has not yet proved.Just like Saddam Hussein was attacked drawing a false picture that he possessed Nukes and retarded Iraq into stone age.
If USA go alone to confront IRAN, I guess it will be much more messier than Iraq and Afghanistan.I hope Bush will not take that bold decision or put the pending US President inherit his doldrums.

If Akashi means and cuts off aid, Sri Lanka will come to its senses and may halt the military jingoism and produce the sensible APRC proposals for serious talks.

US must stop supporting states like Israel and Sri Lanka that bomb and destroy civilians. The groups that fight the freedom of Palestinians and Tamils must be treated as freedom fighters as Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama said. Those states must be compelled to be abide by the UN resolutions or agreements their leaders signed as a condition for continued aid.

We gave you a separate zone in Sri Lanka to develop and live freely but you abused it.
Never will have the same status you had prior to Tamil Terrorism.Hence you will never be granted a separate land in Sri Lanka.
You will pay very dearly for all Tamil Terror atrocities in Sri Lanka for rest of your life.It's already in the Horizon.:)

SLMM together with Co-Chairs will be discarded with the abrogation of CFA and the humanitarian aid package provided to feed Tamils under CFA will disappear too.Then it's Sri Lanka's responsibility to feed the Tamils in the North.May be your terminology sounds funny.Just imagine the calamities.People who are brainwashed with Violent Diplomacy will be poorly prepared to understand the underlying issues...lol...
No CFA = No (SLMM + Co-Chairs) + (Humanitarian Aid)
