17 SLA, 5 Tigers killed in Pa'ndivirichchaan - LTTE

A two pronged ground movement by the Sri Lanka Army was thwarted at one front by the Liberation Tigers of Tamileelam after almost 6-hours heavy fighting in which 17 SLA soldiers and five LTTE fighters were killed, according to LTTE Operations Command in Mannaar, media sources in Ki'linochchi said. Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) helicopters landed at least 10 times, transporting wounded soldiers from the SLA defence line. |

During the Past 3 months there were more army deserters than ever before.When the battle intensify we can see in huge numbers.
you mean , tamils should keep some sarong ready for these guys ,they come and drop the AK-47 and beg for sarong and a shirt to escape as a normal civilian and military police , i have seen with my eyes :):) |

Sri Lanka is well within its right to take action against terrorists, but the government should also continue efforts to arrive at a solution to the problem of ethnic minorities, including the Tamils, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee has said.
Mukherjee has refused to criticise Sri Lanka for abrogating the ceasefire pact with the LTTE, saying that India was 'not party to it (the ceasefire agreement)'.

SLDF needs urgent recuritment about another 50,000 to barely sustain the deployment.
The Soldiers are over worked, no break or holidays are cancelled.
Which will drastically affect their morale.

Muslims never had a problem with anybody. our parents used live in chavkachcheri with other peaeful tamils.,but ltte, who asked them to leave..
from that day onwards we have no problem in the south..,we do what ever we want to do, nobody is there to stop us.we never tell sinhalese ppl have more rights than us.
we never ever trust ltte.

Why not? They have no clue why they are fighting, it is the only job they can get in SL so they jion and get killed and placed as M.I.A |
