DVDLAV,

You want to here my view on this ,

1. All the singhalese are racist

2. All the Tamils are racist
Including me

But being a human its natural , We can't accept defeat or Injustice and makes us go toward racism and hate the other!

But the point is ! We have to think out of the ring , We need to make ourselves go beyond it and welcome the other with an open mind ,

How does the Americans solve the black problem ? And thats why they are No1 in the world . Take the Good notes from the history and follow it if you want to make History

About Foreign Citizens , Ya we are a global community and we can interfere as a GC Member but , our interference shouldn't cause trouble in the current affairs , But as far as i can see , We Do Cause Trouble isn't it ?

Sorry my Bad english!

I don't agree to your argument that people who left and now hold a different citizenship have no right in the issue.

First people left not because they wanted to but because their survival was challenged. Giving up the right to defend ones own race is giving in to the oppressor.

Two we are living in a global community and injustice in any part of the world should matter to everyone

top comment

Sinhalese people in LNP always say those Tamils not living in SL shouldnt comment on political issues in SL. But how can any Tamil live in Northeast without violence affecting their lives? If there was no ethnic conflict, over 90% of the overseas Tamils would be living in Sri Lanka, due also to greater economic prosperity as well.

also any one can comment on issues in another part of the world. Here in UK, Muslims that originate from Indian Subcontinent always express their solidarity with the Palestinians. if not, where do Palestinians get support from?

Your opening remark: All Sinhalese are raciest: All Tamils are raciest is flawed.

Racism is the exception to the rule and not the rule. I don't believe in your opening remark.

I also don't think the issue is about win and defeat that creates the raciest attitude in this forum but the guilt. So you always want to place the blame on another party not your own. There cannot be peace without justice and you cannot have justice unless you recognize that your doing injustice to the society in general and a particular race.
Whats flawed in you argument on foreign interference is does it do good or bad. This is subjective from where your looking.

Take Kenya for instance, foreign interference is bad for the ruling president but will the people see it that way.
Take Pakistan an impartial inquiry into the assassination and a fair election forced by the outsider will be good for the people but will it be good for the President and military?
Same goes to Sri Lanka. Our being active even after leaving although could be bad for GOSL is still good for our own. They will not be slaughtered at the rate Sinhalese would like.

Every country looks at its own interest. I think VP understood better than any politician in SL.

Like the CFA you got to learn to take maximum use of scares resources.

Ponting was dissapointing about the catches that hit the ground first. also Symonds should have walked when he nicked the ball to the wk when he had only 30 runs. so many decisions went against India, would have certainly been a draw. now everyone doesnt like aus

I think Tamils in Canada did not position them self with both leading political parties but the way I see they are getting there. On the other hand the conservative government will follow whatever US does. So there could be something good after 2008.

Trying to get ahead in life is human nature. No one should feel guilty about that. But if we are not concerned about whats happening in SL then we wont be talking about this issue.

Pain and suffering did not come about over night and it is not going to go away over night but as a community we will get there.

I think more of the younger generation Tamils in UK in their 20s and early 30s should involve themselves in increasing awareness of the problems Tamils are facing in SL. some are playing a big role, but there should be more
