Only a good hammering and a military victory by LTTE would force GoSL to a peaceful resolve the conflict - needs to put a stop to this genocide war on TMAILS - GoSL state terrorism should be put on halt .

Colombo, Jan 29 (IANS) The US Monday asked Sri Lanka to weave a power-sharing formula to talk to the Tamil Tigers in a bid to end the dragging ethnic conflict, saying there could be no military solution.

jan 2007 to jan 2008 , damn no any progress finding any solution or have no idea but preparing for a military solution to the conflict from donor money and military aide -- stop all aide and support -- let them go dry .

It benefits both.

It shows that the SL govt are warmongers to the international community and therefore it is a propaganda victory for the LTTE.This and the government military forces' atrocities against the tamils in the ensuing war will create a situation where the UN will step in. This is something the LTTE is probably banking on.

In an all out war, getting rid of the SLMM who are independent witnesses, will benefit the govt because it eliminates witnesses to the atrocities it is going to commit (as it did before) against the tamil civilians to forcibly subjugate them. This was the govt's sole intention for withdrawing from the CFA. The other obvious reason is to placate the JVP and assure its continued support in parliament.

LTTE coolies:

'A formal end to the ceasefire agreement will only escalate the hostilities against innocent civilians,' said NDP leader Jack Layton. 'Canada should join allies in the United Nations and the Commonwealth to stabilize the situation through political means.'

Read between the lines... the message is addressed to those who say they are trying create something through terrorism...

GOSL ain't trying to create anything... but engaged in killing terrorists... just like proud Canadian troops giving hell to Taliban!

These musings are numerous and bring nothing... nothing... nothing... just lip service to generate votes...

Same old Stupid WE Tamils... they fell for their SWET Leaders' in Sri Lanka who promised Sun, Moon and Stars and abused brought DDT on to them...

...And now the politicians in Canada, UK, Australia, France etc... are seeing the same opportunity!

SWETs... as5holes of the FIRST ORDER!

Thambi,

We have to be realistic here. Outright victory against the SLDF is not achievable and vice versa.

The LTTE will certainly hammer the SLDF hard and cause a large number of casualties and seriously damage the economy and infrastructure of the Soth to lead to a situation where a foreign power or the UN will step in to impose a solution which we hope will be favourable to the LTTE and the tamils.

The UN or a foreign power may also intervene if large number of civilian casualties result during the war. I think the govt is deluded in its thinking that it can beat the tigers and if it feels that the war is not progressing according to its plans it may resort to mass murder of the tamil civilians. The government forces have a track record of this type of savagery.

The European Union today called on the Sri Lankan government to offer ?substantive devolution? to Tamil rebels, the AFP reported.

Australia and France has warned Sri Lanka over the implications that could result from the termination of the Cease Fire Agreement (CFA).

See the word 'warned'. Whole world has now realized who are actual terrorists! Well done Mr and Co. That's why tamil people elected you!

These warnings are peanuts... compared to the ones ex-injun premier Indira issued on a daily basis to the proud Sri Lankans in the mid eighties... after dumping the LTTE in Sri Lanka...

How the warnings 'ended' is a must read! It fact, it's an unputdownable thriller!
