of course, peace talks is best avenue, but what is the point of having peace talks when there is lot of problems in both East and Jaffna peninsular which the government claims to be liberated?
if government can't properly treat people in areas under their full control, would peace talks be expected to bring a significant change?
people in Jaffna and East think that the war by GOSL is against Tamil people rather than LTTE. If people are evicted from places like Sampoor where there is hardly any threat from LTTE as the nearest LTTE base is about 60km in Manal Aru, it only makes them support LTTE, especially as they know the sinister plan of gov.
only when GOSL shows it is only fighing LTTE and not ordinary Tamils that there should be peacetalks

International Community must prevent innocent civilians being slaughtered in the North and East.
Innocent civilians carying T-56s., Machine guns, mortars, and RPGs.
what about 80% of tamils living in the SOUTH are they Discriminated by the Intrnational community and the tamil diaspora ? |
