Mihin is an abbreviation of the word Mahin. Is this a country of pons?
Mihin air, Bandaranayaka air port.Sirimo school, Colvin ground,D.S.college, in another 100 years time there Will be Mihin lavatory etc.Excessive power corrupt and blind the people.
Anyway this a progressive development in air traffic fare-way but is not timely I believe because of the LTTE activities.

The CAAS failed to invite our Hon President for this welcome ceremony.
Did CAAS realize that they missed a golden opportunity to have our president welcoming himself with his own dance troupe and about 100 in his entourage?.

Naming airports and schools after political leaders happen every where in the world.
In Sri Lanka it is Bandaranayake international air port. During Mrs Bandaranayake time the air port was expanded with Canadian aid and renamed after SWRD.
In France it is Charles De Gaul.
In New York, it is JFK.
So Mahinda becomes Mihin (from Mihindu/Mahinda) and Mihin air will be a disgrace to the person whose name it bears if it becomes a failure.

Magha,
Mihin air will be a disgrace to the person whose name it bears if it becomes a failure.
What is 'failure?' Financial loss? People loss? Common Value loss? The last two have already happened. The first can be covered up through government's easy access to public funds

MR should ban his air line Mihin Air from flying into Singapore because the CAAS did not invite MR for the ceremony.

| Having strong links(my relatives) in the SQ,they may cleverly welcome a failing airline in Sing. so that they could cream of our airline business.A clever move by a clever country. |

Mihin Air was a failure from day one.
you can' start businesses like that just to satisfy your egos without a proper marketing vision and a plan...
they are just wasting money that could've bought SLDF a few more MBRL's... the 300mm versions unlike the smaller RM70's :)
those would've contributed positively to the economy in the long run unlike this failed mihin air rubbish :) |

It is sad to notice in our country that the Sinhalese people seem to jump into business without giving a thought or on serious businesses without a ability study on the venture in depth.I have burned my fingers with them and I have much confidence with the Tamil and Muslim people,to fulfill that commitment to business. My greatest income and rewards are from the latter two,in my ventures in SL and this is Gospel truth. When ever a Sinhalese do well like Dr Lalith or Upali Wijewardane,we will only hear all the bad about them.Starting this Mhin Air is a bad move, with no proper backing and a plan,in this cut throat and very competitive airline business.Having an International airport in this out of the way Weerawala is also outrageous,we expect the likes of JVP to oppose it and shout as loud as possible.I wonder who is advising the President?
