Kural,
I fully agree with you. One way of diluting nationalism is forming a larger governing body in our region similar to theEuropean Union. (i agree there are some exceptions like Belgium)

| No one needed to hide under a CFA and kill unarmed.Some used CFA to enjoy hospitality of GOSL.Now it is fair and open to both sides to clear their differences in the battle front as dialogue were rejected by Tamil Terrorists at the last Peace conference.One of them paid his defiance to a MK84 Paveway II.Some have already paid their dues with critical injuries but reluctant to accept publicly.More of them MK 84 Paveway II have been acquired/loaded and ready to be delivered to respective recipients in Wanni at 9 minutes notice.Way to go.Time to decimate all Tamil Terrorists and give a new life to innocent Sri Lankan Tamils. |

If you are seeking a scholarly response, you are in the wrong forum. YOu need to go to a structured school/institution and learn from the pundits.
If you are seeking for practical and real reasons - peace is the breakeven level - where there are no profits or losses - where wins equal losses. If you get pleasure from your win to a greater degree than your work and sacrifice then you become excited and you lose your peace. If you feel pain from your loss that leads to anxiety.
The Peace status of a nation is the collection / consolidation of all its people/investors.

You can rightly blame the government for its record on human rights violations but their consistency is really remarkable in that withdrawal from or disregarding the agreements the successive governments signed. Five agreements were signed starting in 1957 until 2005. They were all broken.
What follows from the latest withdrawal can be realised soon. They can legitimize their killings of civilians or anyone now that SLMM will be sent back home as JVP and JHU demanded and dutifully obliged by their Sinhala Buddhist President. But no one can expect LTTE to just sit and watch the open sky to rescue them and Tamils. |
