Instead of a ceasefire, they must have a peace treaty, i.e. stop the war altogether

The war will stop the minute the Sinhala polity tables a just and acceptable political solution. You dont need to talk to VP or anyone for that matter. When such a political solution is ensconsed in law, the LTTE will become irrelevant and the armed conflict will die down.
But if a majoritarian tyranny is attempted to be enforced on the Tamils the war will continue in one form or another. The LTTE is only an instrument, not the reason for this problem.

| The very reason the GoSL came out of CFA is due to the panic about foreign countries including UK , Canada ( US would do in due time ) trying to build up the case against the Rajapase brothers and Sarath ponsesaka for crimes againt humanity they are committing , there are lot of evidents already prepared to make the case very strong , they feared that as long as SLMM in srilanka would make the case very very strong against them ,so they very well knew SLAs are scape goat for their wellbeing and they found CFA is a real threat to their future - so CFA come to an end - JVP and JHU happy - but the real motivation is wellbeing of these three guys . |
