Things different from past wars, more conventional hardware will be in action. But how far they can be used at a guerrilla war in real jungles going to be the issue.
SLA will be having there options while LTTE with there

| I also think 2008 is going to be a decisive year for MR, he needs to end LTTE or it will be the beginning of end to his regime. |

Good move. lets see if we can go back to the state of affairs in 2001 when the GOVT came crawling to sign the CFA.
'This is a formal indication that the country has once again descended into war, which can only result in a humanitarian disaster,' Mr. Rae said.
'It is precisely when the parties seem most determined to find a military solution to this conflict that the world community ? the United Nations, the Commonwealth, donor countries ? should be doing more to find political solutions instead.'
Liberal associate Foreign Affairs Critic Bryon Wilfert condemned the tactics used by both sides and warned the situation will only get worse if the world community continues to ignore the humanitarian consequences of this situation.
hope everyone has finished up with their travels to the banana republic!

JVP sponsored CEB trade unions block any new power projects in the country for the last 20 years.

JVP's mass protests , intimidations and strikes help Sri Lanka achive FAILED STATE status sooner than later.

JosephP,
You have totally ignored the Indian factor.
Your analysis is incomplete without India.
India panicked when Tamils in Malaysia start to shout, and it seems to me India is behind all these latest moves..
And...BTW
Why do you think that Hilary is going win US election?
My man is Obama.

Why do you think that Hilary is going win US election?
The answer is given, it's US media favorite. In USA only the media elect President.....as Americans cant live without a TV...
I do not agree with JosephP.
China providing arms to ltte ? Thats hilarious.
USA and EU deproscription of Ltte in 2009 ? just loool.
I only agree that this withdraw is a victory for LTTE. |

It is going to be no holds barred fight to the finish. I doubt if Mahinda, Goatboy and Sarath P and Dog Dogleash will be alive for long.
The Tigers have to eliminate these four to demoralise the forces and disable the government if it wants a shorter rather than a longer war to ensure minimal civilian casualties.
I am sure VP has something up his sleeve and if he felt his back was against the wall he would have come to some agreement with Mahinda already. |

| At least one thing he ever did makes him trustworthy, though this word is used very inappropriately. He kept the MoU signed with Sinhala Buddhist JHU and Marxist-racist JVP in that he sends Norway home and SLMM winds up. There may be a paradox in that he abrogated P-TOMS he himself presented in the last parliament and disregarded the SLA signed by the previous govt, telling the IC that Sri Lankan rulers are dishonest and untrustworthy. |

LTTE has had to fight with one hand tied behind because of the CFA. Now that the GOSL has undone it we would most likely see what happened in the months before the CFA was signed.
