newly captured area's are invalid

Why worry about the captured area if the objective is to annihilate LTTE. Wouldn't the country then be an actual sovereign state?

CFA dictates what should be sent to N/E

What it dictates is necessities for the civilian population, denying this is accepting the fact that the population is not a part of the state. Under worst case scenario do you remember India dropping food from the air.

I think our fellows both the GoSL and LTTe are driven by emotions rather than tactics , if Confucius and Kautilya were alive ,they would have won this war with strategies.

Return blows .....

Even this is happening now, what you refer as mighty is air raids from 3000ft high. Civilians are what is getting the brunt of it. Do you think this is a major concern for the LTTE? I think not because this largely helps in the recruitment drive.

So if GOSL keeps doing this it will bomb itself to defeat if not militarily then economically.

In my opinion, Sri Lanka never had been a sovereign state since the independence. Neither had it acted as one. Yet the current governments certain decisions concerning the terrorist demonstrate its regaining the sovereignty.

Sri Lanka needed a government or rather an alliance of two major parties UNP and SLFP, to strengthen the divided south and to combat the minority groups, which always secured a position in a ruling government. Hence, for the last 60 years, the coalitions of minority parties, always weekend the governments positions and states sovereignty. As a result, the previous governments always, acted as a henchman between its coalition minority groups as well as external power politics. This situation is to some extent abandoned by the current government. The current SLFP?s position and its caliber however, strengthened the south and the voice of the majority.

The contemporary world politics, gives an immense opportunity for the government to act against the terrorism. USA is no longer a super power though its making an attempt to act so. In reality, it?s a multy polar world, EU from one side, USA, China, Japan, Russia from the other. Nevertheless, an inter play of regions, Middle East, Asia, South Asia EU and Russia, USA is also evident. Either way, world political system is at a brink of a massive political change, where each of the said tries to secure and strengthen its position globally. However, the global foreign policy is against terrorism. If the current government ignores this situation, it would be the end of the legacy of Ceylon.

Hence, precedents decision to withdraw the CFA, is vital and current. Neither the war nor the peace is the ultimate solution to a long fought war. Either of the said hasn?t been materialized in the history of Sri Lanka. Thus, the war had been a chance to both terrorist and two successive parties to be in power and to size the power. Despite the objectives of the Tamil terrorism, the conflict has gone through many ramifications. Since the percent government came in to power, destiny of the south is taking a turning point. Therefore, if this situation is not addressed, on behalf of the majority Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim people, the posterity of the said ethnicities may have to pay the prize for it. Hence, not only the CFA has to be withdrawn, also, war has to be fought followed by negotiations.
