If the argument was that GOSL could not do anything with the agreement against LTTE then your line of thought will hold. But GOSL from Aeriel bombardment has done everything in its power. As I said before the CFA has not had a material effect on the Tamil Civilians. So this news is indifferent.
Under the worst case scenario now the Sinhala civilians too could be exposed in the similar manner. |

CFA was a document meant to harbour Tamil Terrorism but abrogating it make them weaker and makes me smile.I am not worried or care much about politicians but my country comes first.I will give my life to the people who protect the interests of my country and her citizens.

Sri Lankans had indipendace long time back.
You mean they were given the 'certificate' of independence? after Indians led by Gandhi did the work and made the sacrifices?
This is the time to give indipendace to tamils who live in North.
Independence cannot be given or taken. Only certificates can be given or taken. As it is, Tigers have taken equal status as Sri Lankan government. Tamils have established equal status as Sinhalese at the international level. That became possible due to the work and sacrifices by all genuine Tamils. If others recognize this - they already have the entry ticket to participate in democracy.
Gandhi's method will not work with a world renown terrorist like Velu.
World renown is the key word. Thank you for recognizing that fact. No, Gandhi's way is not the same as VP's. It need not be the same. Gandhi's non violence helped him take Indian leadership beyond the calculated level. VP's is limiting us to the Sri Lankan government's level.

Wrong again.... without a CFA dictating terms such as what items MUST be sent to wanni/ what checkpoints can be established etc etc.....the LTTE rat are even more screwed then they are now.
BUT ABOVE ALL...with the CFA any newly captured areas are invalid...with no CFA....THERE ARE NO BOUNDARIES.

All I can say is without a CFA to protect you LTTE rats... the game is truly ON..... in a game where the SLDF are making the rules...there can only be ONE WINNER.

In fact, Indo-SL pact saved those poor LTTEers from a mauling at the hands of proud SLA during operation jayasukuru.. But they showed a copy of that pact to those proud SLA boys at ElephantPass and captured the area in yr 2000..!
Now we don't have CFA, what would they do to liberate areas under GoSL control? :O)

If you scan this thread answers are given in many posts by different participants regarding your worse scenario.Sri Lankans will refrain from killing innocent unarmed but will leave SLDF to deal with such scenarios.Return blows will be not defensive but will be mightier and very offensive without the CFA.:)
