MAy be one involved inDureiappa killing or the CID - Inspectors - Bastianpiaali killing.

I heard he had connections with LTTE and wanni, also he may have bad mouthed VELu with some one in Wanni and this was the punishment.


Now if you remember the Aeroplane spare parts episode,that was the burning point.But GOSL went quiet after confiscating the consignment.After that nothing much was heard of Maheswaran until today.So you have a good point there.Anyway culprit is caught before he reached his capsule and once he get some gooti sambol encapsulated he will spill the beans...lol...

You give the notion that Maheswaran was upset about loading Airplane spare parts for LTTE in to the ship without his knowledge, and this is how that EPISODE ended here after killing this guy.

Parliamentarian T. Maheswaran?s security officer L. Dharmasiri speaking to the Daily Mirror from his hospital bed alleged that Mr. Maheswaran was shot dead by one of his former security officers.


The suspect identified as Vasanthan, was admitted to the National Hospital in a critical condition and kept under heavy police and army protection, hospital sources said.


?I saw him firing at Sir. I shouted and fired back at him. He ran away firing at me and I too fell over. However I was able to identify him at the hospital,? Mr. Dharmasiri said.


The killer is one of the 16 security officers! Now, Mano Ganesan can call his 16 removed security officers and ask them his killing date!

My sincere condolence to Maheswaran's family and may he RIP.Looks like someone is tying a similar situation that of M/S Buthho's incident to bring calamity to the nation by bringing a friction between the UNP camp and the government camp and the next incident may be to split steady JVP.He was a typical candidate for this dirty and cowardly act because he is a UNPer and he accused the gosl of plotting his end and he upset the northern rebels for transporting goods to Jaffna in his ships.Which ever way you turn in SL ,one may forfeit one's life,as life seem to be cheap in that lawless country.

Vasanthan may be Buddist, Hindu, muslim or chistian
