dont get confused
Sinhalese and Tamils fought shoulder to shoulder to gain independence from the British, Tamils were relegated to the backwoods by the governments, by not protecting their rights in their country of birth. The majority ruled the country since 1948. Therefore, they have to blame themselves if they handled the government improperly. LTTE is only the bi-product of the action of the majority. There was a coup in 1958 and an uprising in the early 70s. LTTE can not be blamed for any of these riots. The extremists within the majority has been allowed to prosper and now it is in full power to control every manoeuvre of the government.

Just after MR came to power the lTTE tried his patience and yes, 6000+ have died and will continue to die.... started with Mavil Aru, remember?

well , here you go , killing innocent people cant be justified , and specially by the government who should be protecting them . also note below .
The closure of the A9 highway by the SLA for some obscure reason has had detrimental effect on those innocent civilians who are under their control. The first ever death by starvation was recorded in October2006.

:)))...is this all the excuse you could come up with for Velus terror. Something that happened in the '40 & '50????

:)))...sheesh...that's pathetic!. Here read this for an excuse for war against terror.

Attacks on civilians
Attempted attacks on civilians
Assassinations
Child soldiers
Suicide bombing
Ethnic cleansing
Execution of POWs
Extortion
Proscription as a terrorist group
Criminal activities
Sea piracy
MV Farah III incident
Pilferage of tsunami donations
Human smuggling
Allegations of forced prostitution
Passport forgery
Drug trafficking
Arms smuggling
Other crimes

You are showing how bankrupt in excuses you are for velus terror.

That's pathetic work, even for an Eelamists standard...

wake up man....we are in 2007. You have just confirmed that you are living in the past.

Those who bomb others also get blasted by either friendly fire or self-explosion.
Mortar fires accidentally no harm done
A major calamity was averted last morning when a mortar belonging to a sailor on duty at the Colombo harbour was fired accidentally and landed on a house -- but fortunately failed to explode.
- Daily Mirror.
This time Navymen and ships escaped unharmed.

Former US Defense Secretary Robert Mac Namara said a major disaster of the Hiroshima scale was averted when their nuclear bomb was saved from exploding by the 7th safety valve when it went through ALL the other six safety devices. Had it not been saved 1000s if not millions would have perished and the fallout would have lasted for generations to come.

Naakarkoayil offensive thwarted, weapons seized - LTTE

TamilNet, Monday, 01 October 2007, 07:24 GMT

A ground offensive, launched by the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) in Naakarkoayil in Northern Forward Defence Line (FDL), backed by heavy artillery and mortar fire, was withdrawn following one-hour long stiff resistance put up by the Liberation Tigers of Tamileelam (LTTE) Sunday night at 11:30 p.m., LTTE field officials in Vanni said. Claiming that they inflicted heavy casualties on the SLA, the Tigers said they have seized weapons and ammunitions including Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) Launchers and Light Machine Guns (LMG). Three LTTE fighters were killed in action.

One RPG, two AK-LMGs, two T-56 rifles, two T-56-2 rifles, 6 RPG shells, three 40 mm mortar shells, forty-two AK-magazines, four AK drum magazines, 14 hand grenades and several other rounds were seized from the SLA, according to the LTTE.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan military officials in Colombo said that one soldier was killed and seven wounded in the clash and claimed that 10 Tigers were killed in the overnight clash. The SLA said the Tigers had launched the offensive.
