Emperor:

Even Arch rivals Iran and USA were involved in Iran-Kontra deal. How can we believe what politicians and LTTE say ?

Ahmadinejah in his talk at the Columbia UNiversity had told that even after that, IRan helped in many things including the battles in Afghanistan to get rid of Al -Qaeda.

30 (LB) No sooner than news broke that the UNP was dropping its federal idea, party leader Ranil Wickremasinghe was flooded with phone calls. Despite phrasing their questions in diverse ways, all enquirers got a stock answer: ?We always supported the devolution of power but we never mentioned the word ?federal?. It was Chandrika who introduced this word ?federal?. Subsequently, this government resurrected the word and used it to level allegations against us. But we never said ?federal?

This federal vicious germ was brought to UNP by GL Peiris.Earlier he infected CBK with it.Today maximum power devolution proposed by Percy,is more dangerous than federal.GL will play major role in maximum power devolution offer. Now two strong federal men GL & Milinda are part of MR govt. There are no federalists left in UNP.No one is there to promote federalism in UNP.UNP will not support maximum power devolution. It will propose reasonable power devolution to make 'STRONG SRI LANKA' instead of 'FEDERAL SRI LANKA'.

The question is during the last election LTTE had everything to gain from a UNP govt. It was crystal clear even to a donky that with the JVP supporting the election of MR there was every likely hood of going back to war which we see today.

Peace was at his finger tips if he wanted but he preffered war which has been his downfall today.

So why did the LTTE leader prevented people from voting ?

Some thing significant would have happend for him to change his mind to take this most surprising decision which baffled everybody!

I can not think of any thing other than money !
