We Tamils were/are deprived of normal life by enacting the language act, Buddhism as the state religion and with the uni standardization act.
mean while the sinhala govt amended the constitution to add this article,,,,
Prohibition against violation of territorial integrity of Sri Lanka. to work as a safety valve in support of those discriminating laws in 1983 straight after the massacre of 30000 Tamils in Colombo. both the discriminating laws and the safety valve supported with the 2/3rd majority in the parliament.
the Tamils could not come out of the systematic discrimination just by protesting peacefully against the sinhala state. if you do , you be jailed!! so the alternative is to fight the state by picking up arms!!
these are the same people,, talking that ltte is not a democratic party ,there is no democracy in ltte held areas and the ltte leadership need to be changed,
those ppl who talk of democracy in SL really do make me laugh!! |
