Army called to quell the clash between ministers

Reports from Puttalam say that the army has been called to prevent confrontation between the supporters of deputy minister k.Bais and Minister Rishad Badurdeen who have flocked to puttalam town following the clash of opinion between the two ministers.
The clash of opinions was about a housing scheme under construction . Deputy Minister of Livestock Development K.A. Bais and the minister of rehabilitation Rishad Badurdeen were fighting
Deputy Minister Bais with his Puttalam town in protest against the minister claim. Not stopping at that, he staged a hartal yesterday. Mr. Bais says he will continue his protest campaign.
Security forces say that the Army has been called to prevent confrontation between the Supporters of the two ministers.

Baiz goes one better than Mervin
Hot on the heels of National List MP Dr. Mervin Silva threatening to use his government issued pistol, another MP has openly threatened to use his gun. Although he never displayed his weapon, Silva had warned he would unhesitatingly use force to remove, what he called, any obstacle in his path. Ironically, the threat had been made outside the Mount Lavinia Magistrate?s Court where his son, Malaka had been charged with assaulting an accountant.
