This is a man of very poor record of integrity.
I knew about the 'Incident inside the car' through the policemen involved. Poor guys were punished because they did not take his word about his identity.
He is a known womanizer with several mistresses. Recent punishment to Consumors Commission chairman was also linked to one of these affairs.
He was one of the witnesses to MR's marriage.
All his recent high profile rulings are political stunts well calculated towards creating a good impression among Sinhala masses.
Ranil, when came to power initiated a move to oust him, but when SS pretended that he has changed allegiances, Ranil backed down, making one of his greatest mistakes.
This man is so evil, even people close to him too dare not offend him. Ask any of his staff, you will know how dangerous he is. |

Do not bring personal problems to politics or any other agendas, If your wife is not satisfied with you she will definitely desert you and seek some others compassion or love what ever it is, If my wife is not satisfied with me she will go with someone else it is better, rather than solemnizing. Being a Government servant I am well aware of these accusations, all are baseless, mud slinging wild accusations, no back borne to come forward and prove, just say this is so that happened so this and that.The only thing that anybody can bring against this human being is that he is living with another man's wife. So what you and I could do that is their private life, Just ignore it, whether he is the President or a larbourer in a street, it is his private & personal matter.

I have nothing personal with SS except that I am furious as to what SS is doing to the independance, intergrity and impartiality of the judiciary and the justice system in Sri Lanka.

I have no issue with my wife. Similary SS does not seem to have an issue with his mistress or mistresses. They all seem satisfied. The exception is with SS's wife! Hope your wife is satisfied or else beware of SS!

Are you in the judiciary or the legal profession or at least connected to the courts as a government servant?
Are you aware as to why former District Judge Colombo Upali Abeyratne was given a demotion by former CJ G.P.S.Silva and sent as Magistrate Monaragala but when SS became CJ Upali Abeyratne was brought in as High Court Judge Gampaha. Do you know why that was?
How do you explain the illegal and unlawful interference of SS's intervention in ordering the former Wellawaya Magistrate to revoke an arrest warrant issued against the Monaragala SSP who was involved in a fatal accident? Are you aware the uproar it created in legal circles?
Is SS empowered to give a phone call to a judge of the minor judiciary and order him to revoke orders without the due procedure of the legal system being followed? Are you at least aware as to how the justice system should be working in Sri Lanka?
Are you aware as to how many magistrates and district judges have been verbally abused by SS for not willing to twist the law to favor local politicians. Are you aware how many judges have resigned in protest unable to work with impartiality maintaning the intergrity of the judiciary, due to SS's unethical interferences?
Do you know that the president and the secretary of the Judicial Services Association ( the national association of magistrates and district judges)had filed a Fundamentle Rights case against SS and do you know what happened?

Remember that the exalted office of Chief Justice is a position that demands respect as the highest judicial authority in the country. Everyone including the holder of that position has to respect that position with dignity. SS does not know how to respect that position he holds.
When a dog bites a man it is hardly anyones concern but when a man bites a dog it is news.
Would you say it's alright for SS the CJ to get drunk and be found fallen in some gutter or public tavern? That's his private life. No one would mind the CJ's Peon getting drunk and be found fallen in some gutter or tavern. Isn't there a standard of discipline that has to be maintaned by the Chief Justice.
Similarly would it be ok for the Malwatta or Asgiriya prelates to have mistresses? Their private life isn't it? There are certain social standards that have to be maintaned by individuals holding positions held in high esteem by the public. Holders of such positions should not act to bring disrespect to the positions they hold, if they do, they bring contempt to themselves and if they do not bother about it that shows they have no self respect.

CJ Sarath N Silva is a rascal and SHOULD be convicted for LOT & LOTS of crimes he himself comiited.

You have a point, well said mate..
there is nothing called personal life in the public service. someone personal life has to be an example to others if he holds a high position in public service.
that is why even americans done elect a divorced person as their president though divorce is common in all americans. only exception is Reagon.

Keep on untangling political knots/plots, protect public & public money from corrupted politicians and businessmen irrespective of the party. People should get benefit back for the tax they pay. everybody should get their due heritage. You are the only person we can turn to, to get the justice for the Sri Lankans. |
