But I know that until a political solution is implemented, the Tamil struggle will continue, whether in the form of LTTE or some other organization.
While totally respecting your view...
My view is that nothing... nothing... nothing... should be available for discussion or offer... while a threat of terrorism is in evident.
Terrorism is no answer to a grievance... They are not my words... Kofi Annan is one of the intellectual who said so...
Terrorists should be given the harshest most painful public punishment wherever, whenever possible.... effectively crushing their agendas, hidden or open.
Then we will sit down peacefully for discussion.... while singing...

Advani wants food and medicine sent to Lanka
Chennai, Sept. 20(PTI): Expressing concern over 'deterioration of situation' in the North and North eastern parts of Sri Lanka due to prolonged curfew imposed by the island government,senior BJP leader L K Advani today said the Indian government should send humanitarian aid to the Sri Lankan Tamils by despatching food and medicine.
He told reporters that the aid, in consultation with the Sri Lankan government, should be routed through the Red Cross.
Opposing the LTTE's demand for a separate Tamil Eelam, Advani said solution to the ethnic problem should be found within a unified Sri Lanka. Ensuring justice to Sri Lankan Tamils was important in solving the ethnic strife in that country.
The Indian government should deploy the full weight of its political and diplomatic resources to ensure justice and dignified living for Tamils within the framework of a united Sri Lanka, he said.
Sri Lankan Tamils should be reassured that the government in Colombo was doing its best to care for their welfare without discrimination.Unfortunately, there had been widespread grievances about discrimination in

LTTE is showing what the SLAF did during the early stages.
SLAF fought a very defensive war.Now they are all over the LTTE.Getting left right and centre.
Still trying to fool the pro LTTE donors.It's okay guys,
pour money into the peelam cause as they will need it to
run out of the Island! |

| I think if LTTE is losing or weak, they will have terrorists attack on Colombo which wil be very disasterous. Looks like they are trying to get a good name among international countries. But the Rajapakse and co are aiding the LTTE in their strategies. They are spoiling the good name Srilanka earned by late Laksman Khadir. How long you can continue just printing notes without a effective financial plan. They are interested in putting their money in their pockets not thinking of the future of the country. Soon it will be a failed state if not already it is. |

Hi Guys
Its not correct to say LTTE is,was strong at any time.
In reality its our Sinhalese Politicians only making them look Strong
for instance
Ponnna leaders like Ranil, withdraw 3 forces from the N&E , give weapons to LTTE, let them rule, so LTTE are strong
And
Great Leaders like MR, send forces to N&E occupy those areas, destroy them militarily in all the ways
then LTTE looks like worse than Dogs
Pretty simple theory,
Its only Sinhalese who make LTTE and destroy them as well.
FYI,
Its in our Sinhalese hand's only , not in Tamils hands.

Don't get elated by territorial gains. It will simply continue as a guerilla war, even if LTTE fails to hold one inch of land - until a political solution is implemented.
You are right about the root cause, though even treating that well with a good political solution won't guarantee full safety.
Some 20 fairly smart leftovers are enough to terrorize a whole country with ease.
Not dealing with the root cause is nothing but fueling the conflict. |

Concern over SL economy - GOSL corruption -Suffering of the average man in south etc.
The term Punnakku -SINMOD etc are getting less & less.
