Long waited appointment will bring better co ordination in UPFA group.
Basil will furnish evidence to Opposition in most issues.
He has done a excellent peace of work in East re building which is hurting UNP,JVP and even TNA.

Australian parliamentary petition on Sri Lanka calls to proscribe LTTE- SPUR

Hon Don Randall, Member for Canning, Western Australia, tabled a Citizens Petition in the Federal Parliament seeking Australian support for a resolution of the Sri Lankan conflict that satisfies the aspirations of all communities without compromising the Unity and Territorial Integrity of Sri Lanka.

The petition signed by 1,448 certain citizens and residents of Australia was tabled at the House of Representatives yesterday (17), requesting the Australian Federal Parliament to proscribe the LTTE by listing it under the Criminal Code Act of 1995, until it renounce terrorism in word and deed.

The petition calls for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eealm, or LTTE, and its front organisations to be proscribed, while ensuring Australian aid to Sri Lanka is not siphoned off by 'front- organisations' of the terrorist outfit. It also pointed out the LTTE is not only the biggest impediment to peace in Sri Lanka, but also a player in global terrorism.

These were drawn to attention referring to the ongoing investigations into the Tamil Tiger network in Australia which recently led to raids in Melbourne and Sydney.

LTTE has until now been the only Tamil terrorist group to have survived major internal rift. But Prabhakaran's charisma within LTTE seems to be on the wane now.

Everything has a life cycle...even the sun and the moon. Velu and his band of goons are no exception.

Life will go on, but Velu's handiwork will be an ugly scar in the history of this country, cursed by his own and despised by the generations to come.

Unknown to our Gamiya here...the real gamiyas are suffering more and more everyday due to sky rocketing cost of living.
No complaints on the war front...they are doing a much better 'managed' war than anybody else so far but they are doing at a nice profit for them.
If anybody says that these guys are not ripping off public funds is a total moron who likes to live in denial.
The better idiots say that all other governments did it so why no these guys. And some of the rest of the idiots are happily living a good life and don't know what it is to be a poor in sri lanka and run a family.
Those are the ones who blindly support their leaders...
Not much difference with stupid ltte supporters...
