He fills the vacancy of late Minister of Irrigation Anver Ismail who belonged to the Athavulla Faction of the Muslim Congress. The UPFA Secretary has powers to appoint anyone to fill a vacancy of a MP since Athavulla Faction contested the 2004 election as a party of the UPFA

Whether with corruption or not,if the HT port comes up that will be one of the biggest revenue generator for the country in a decade or so...
Gamini Dissanayake had mahaveli done...
there was so much corruption but the benefits are enormous and eternal...
corruption was such that Gamani became one of the richest in south asia... |

I will certainly support such a stand if others agree. In every other thread members discussed topics outside the subject. You can see the reason, there isn't much to talk about Basil who is the brother of the president is brought in to the Company Rajapakse and Co Ltd.
You may know he has disqualified himself by committing an offence as is the law in civilised countries where name-calling to insult somebody on the basis of one's race is a criminal offence. You know that he insulted the then fellow minister based on his race.
Instead of repremanding MR is honouring him. |
