I think during Premadasa time the UNP sponsored paramilitaries used one of Ranils houses (with or without his consent) as a base to kill JVP activists. But if that is the case, military heros such as Janaka Perera also killed many JVP extrajudicially.

This is nothing wrong.if he is fit for the job why not.is allways select suitable person by voters..srilankan voters
vote for bottle they dont know to whom they vote.this is better an educated guy..there are lot of uneducated and criminals in the parliment as MPs and ministers |
