We are really missing Murali. I was suprised Jayasuriya couldn't bowl well since Afridi was very effective. I think Left handers can hit Jayasuriya very easily, they can hit it against the spin.
Mubarak will get another chance because of his performance against Kenya, but Gayan will probably be replaced with Maharoof.
better include Maharoof and Hasantha Fernando instead of Gayan and Mubarak.

Who's this Hasantha Fernando? Is Kaushal Lokkuarrachi in the squad?

SAS,

Jayasuriya did try his best, but most of his good deliveries were also punished, that's bad luck.

Afridi bowls flat and that's very effective however he would have got the better treatment if not for we losing early wickets.

Hasantha is an all rounder bowls fast medium, he will be an ideal foil, if Sri Lanka opts for an all out seam attack with Vaas, Malinga, Dilhara and Maharoof.

Kaushal is in the squad but I don't think his leg spin will have that effec with the Twenty20.

Gayan and Mubarak look & behavior similar. crumble under pressure.

Duminda,

In Hasantha and Maharoof
Out Gayan and Mubarak

Let's wait and see.

What do you reckon guys?

It looks like Pakistan is gonna lose to Aussies, they are currently 60-4. But I guess we need Pakistan to lose really badly, so it'll drop their run rate. If we thrash Bangladesh today we can bring up our own run rate. Then, asuming Pakistan will beat Bangladesh (I hope not), we need to beat Australia. I think we can do this if Sanath performs.

Sangakkara was in great form yesterday, but sooo unlucky to get out like that!

Ok ignore my previous post, I spoke to soon! Pakistan's just beat Aus! There's only one way of getting to the Semis now we need to beat Australia! If Pakistan can do it, I think we can.

Bongs,

Agreed, it will be the toughest and man-to-man both sides are equally balanced and our our boys have the talent to beat the Aussies.

Sri Lanka has to shed the 'Sanath Shines Sri Lanka Wins Formula' now.

Our team went into yesterday's match with a good combination. It's time that Upul contribute with the bat.
