You are damned right about it, Ranil. That scum MR has no mandate. He came through the back door and on the VP's back. That is why I call him, president, note the small 'p'.
The funny thing about US$500m bond is that it comes at 17.5% p.a interest. Never in the history, such a loan has been raised by GOSL. Further, if UNP was in power, this amount of money would be earned through FDI, tourism and exports and would not be wasted on the useless war. It is better to earn than borrow. Begger MR and Mafia are borrowing US$500m to pocket 1/3 of that money. |

JVP MP K.D. Lal Kantha said yesterday UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe had never been accused of misappropriation of public funds, whatever the criticism they had of him.
Addressing a meeting organized by CTB workers attached to the Badulla depot, Lal Kantha said MPs Anura Bandaranaike, Wijeyadasa Rajapaksa and Susil Premajayantha too are above reproach. ?We have sometimes severely criticized the UNP leader.
That is a different matter. But, we cannot target him for misappropriating state funds and property. There are also others in the UNP who are good and honest. We should appreciate the good qualities in our politicians rather than criticizing them maliciously all the time,? he said.
He said that the need to topple the government had taken precedence over everything else for some members, but there is a majority of 117 members on the government side.
?First the biggest problem facing this country was war, then the cost of living and now the need to topple the government,? he said.

Mahinda is the most corrupt leader in the political history of sri-lanka. He has done nothing to the country so far but in the short time, hoaded wealth, sufficient enough for many generation, for his family lineage.
Some of the baffoons in the forum are still with this roque. I cant understand why.
Ranil is a gentleman politician that maybe the reason for the 'Rasthiyadu' fellows to detest him. |

Ranil is right about MR not having a mandate to rule the country.
The Rajapakse's continue to cheat its citizens.
This guy not only sold the country to the terrorists on election day, his brother even had the nerve to burn the bodies of our own soldiers just to cover up the casualty figures. This is the worst governemnt we've had since the JVP insurrection. |

| Ranil makes all sorts of very foolish statements, I am requesting ALL LEARNED Members of this FORUM to go to his own WEBSITE i.e the UNP website and see How the Srilankans have voted at the last Presidential Election.....How many he had got, and How MR fared in all Electorates except North & Some places in the East....this is with the Negative Publicity from All Private Media, combine with the All powerful President CBK who was working very hard underhand with Ranil & UNP to defeat Mahinda. Please READ in the UNP website.........Hasnt Mahinda got a Mandate to rule??????????? look at the huge majorities he got from from some Sinhala areas with all the Negative publicity against him................. |
