[we can't blame this guy or the police....simply this is the political culture in s.lanka..the whole thing about violence
its very funny .... I am suffering headach...koz he hit me in head...then police asks him to admit in hospital....etc....a good scene for a bollywood movie
I agree with some1 told that all those money from..........he mentioned lot of things...ya its true...but what can we do...this guy (his father) is a very important guy in the Samagama Brothers...]
shame on s.lankan politics....one is trying to pull down Speakers Sarong, another's son is a rawdy (like his lovely daddy...and some have samagam business behalf of government and people...etc....but nothing we can do] |

What is 'reverse charge'?
It means the recipient has to take the charge on behalf of the caller.
Imagine you receive something from someone you will be charged from your account than the sender.

COLOMBO, SinhalaNet 2007.09.09 04:43PM The Australian woman - known by the nickname name 'Penny Amma' ? who represented the UNICEF office in Tiger-infested Kilinochchi has been deported.
Investigations have revealed that during her 12-year stay in Sri Lanka she had been serving LTTE objectives under the guise of doing the work of the UNICEF which is affiliated to the United Nations.
She was instrumental in preparing the fabricated report for international consumption on the Sri Lanka Air Force allegedly bombing and orphanage whereas it was a Tiger training camp which the SLAF destroyed.
'Penny Amma' who first came here to work as a nurse in a voluntary organization was later appointed UNICEF representative in LTTE-dominated Wanni.
The Sri Lanka Government rejected her appeals via foreign diplomatic missions to have her visa extended.

It is good that he was found guilty by an Australian court...
If this happened in Sri Lanka, even the UN wiil no doubt issue an statement condemning the Sri Lankan government for the judgement..

Due to war tamil population in east has come down.Muslims are now opporunistic to grab their lands & place.
The Tamils who fought the Sinhalese for more than 2 decades are quite capable of looking after their lands. The Muslims also suffered with the Tamils in the East and have lost use of thousands of acres of their lands.
It is a cruel joke on Tamils that having reduced their population through war the racist Sinhalese want to protect their lands from 'opportunistic' Muslims. No my friend, it is the opportunistic, racist Sinhalayos who are out to grab the lands of the Tamils and Muslims from the East. You push it too much, you will find the Tamils and Muslims closing ranks and, you guys will have to do the marathon from Ampara to Mahiyangane. |

good to know, that your flu has vanished! Now it looks, like I will be back in SL soon taking care of a lovely real estate near Kandy. Truly like to meet you sometime, because it is an interesting pleasure to discuss things with you.
In world where can you find non-rapists?
This issue has actually been discussed with many friends and ladies.
Rape and harassment related figures are unfortunately sky high in SL compared to most countries in the world because tradition prevents a normal free life since early age like in Europe, the Americas, Africa and the civilized Asian countries.
In SL most men still insist on virginity what forces young men to see prostitutes in case money is available.
Of course, the majority of Sinhalese is not into rape, but the frustration is massive and too many women have fear in the streets.
From some Western ladies in Colombo i was informed, that they receive ugly looks when buying condoms. Similar to my irrational run around to do an hiv test in Kandy.
Emancipation hasn't happened in SL whilst for example in Buddhist Thailand rape or harassment is hardly unknown because of more modern and civilized attitudes.
As said before, women can walk around on Phuket or in Bangkok at late night in their most sexiest outfit without any fears.
In addition the Police is very very fast with resolving any incident and punishment is tough.
Even in Colombo women dread reporting incidents because they fear the police and i do feel very sorry for the wonderful Sri Lankan ladies.
