| Seems as Sri Lankans elect family of thugs to the parliament. It is bad enough they have to elect one to loot the treasury. When are the Sri Lankans going to take their country back from corrupt politicians and their children who act as they have fallen from an elephant?s ass? |

Maity,
Again what is the significance of a death man's tooth.
There is a cultural and religious significance.
RELICS ensured that the presence of the Buddha is perpetuated after the passing of the Buddha.
The practice of venerating relics and images has played a central role even in Buddhist traditions that strongly emphasize that Gautama Buddha was a human being who died and is no longer able to aid his followers.
Here's something for you to read..

My opinion, everybody has to go home.
Do that and allow the Tigers to govern the Island.

No more bullet proof Porche drivers!

Maitreya,
How can you say that?
What if they do not want to argue with people like you and avoid. This could be your opinion. Also incase if you do not know avoid posting in Sinhala in Main thread as it is one of the posting guide lines.
Constructive argument is a matter of disseminating ones views buddy. I have not seen any constructive point in supporting a killer group such as the LTTE. Politically I am an impartial member from the word go. I have no colours of party politics, I have criticised Pirabha, Mahinda and Ranil alike for their own weaknesses in providing a lasting solution without taking one side and chopping the others. As such I have clearly said anyone who wants to come into main stream must follow the norm than killing. Therefore I think that was my post to Tigy too. Apologise if you could not understand the Sinhalese script in fact that was pretty much same as what I have said in English earlier.
i Also heard that Supposed to be Buddha's Tooth is too big for a human being. any thoughts on that. Again what is the significance of a death man's tooth.
Whether the size really matters or not, I have no idea because interpretation is different to a person's devotion to a founder of a religion. I am not a person who would actually take someone's religion and dissect to make an issue of it.

GG:
What is the point calling someone a Buddhist where they do not practice what Buddha preached. FYI Buddha was against all the statue worship .
Here what happens is calling themselves Buddhist and and do all opposite of Buddha and keeping the tooth as sacred thing.
See also my reply here.

Maity Dear,
Here what happens is calling themselves Buddhist and and do all opposite of Buddha and keeping the tooth as sacred thing.
I see your point, and I know where you coming from.
But, Not every apple in the basket is rotten!
FYI Buddha was against all the statue worship
Buddhists sometimes pay respect to images of the Buddha, not in worship, nor to ask for favours. A statue of the Buddha with hands rested gently in its lap and a compassionate smile reminds us to strive to develop peace and love within ourselves. Bowing to the statue is an expression of gratitude for the teaching.
