Tigress,
Instead of sending the money in an envelope, you could send it through western union. Of course western union charges a fee.

I think I will have to do this because I do not have a credit card at the present.

All the receiver needs to give is his name address and phone number.

And I think if its Ekanayake we are sending this to, he can go to a western union branch in any big town (sure to have at least one or two there) and collect the money using the access number we will provide him after we have sent the money from our side.

Ekanayake can you please let us know if this is possible?

Also I believe this would be a better option for people who are a bit nervous about the online credit card transfer

Of course let me mention again that western union requires a fee to be paid.

Edit:
Oops although in the case of paying to Ekanayake, OUR id, address etc will also be revealed to him, which I would not mind, but someone else might.

thanks for the info,

iwill go on line to check how the WU works. if the western union's privacy policy is fine, one could do on line to save time going to a post office.
insured , registered post also will cost money. if the WU privacy policy is fine , why not do it over on line,,, of course if you got a credit card!!

be back bit later

Tigy dear

Paypal is a very secure system, guranteed, I have used manytiems,

If you are concerned about recipient knowing your deatils, make it anonymous (or don't put your handle name, or just make up a name on the comment field),

what matters is you contributed to the cause :))

For future use, you can get a pre-paid credit card, go the link! It's like having a Debit Card in the Banks. It's handy to have one, for an emergency!

'Your order is being shipped to' my address as stated.

You can ignore this standard paypal message. It's a canned message they show for all types of transactions (funny: including donation type transactions)

I'm a bit worried to use the pay pal to make donation

All paypal transaction details will be completly erased by me once this donation channel is closed. Also, you could ask your credit card company to hand you over a one time use (disposable) vertual credit card number. It will be good only for one transaction and will not work again. It will be disconnected form your actual credit card.

Did not see a comment filed in the paypal window when I donate

For somereason all paypal accounts dont offer the comments filed. When i post the donation report on Monday I will show Country / Donation Amount to donors can somewhat recogonize them selves.

Thanks
MrBrown.

No, you can enter your name as ABC in paypal if you want. They will not match your name with your credit card. But you will need to enter your billing address. Westernunion is a rip off.

Thanks

Thank you for the link. Unfortunately I am currently in Germany and the card appears to be US based.

So it probably won't work for me

I used to have a credit card. But I maxed it out, so I shut it down, and still am paying the balance.(And will do so still for years to come :((((!!)

Hopefully Ekanayake will see my post and do me a favour and let me send the money to him directly.

ll us how i can go unanimously!

If you don't put your 'LNP handlename' on the comment field, MR. B wouldn't know who sent the money except the name on the credit card, So that could be anyone.

Call your Credit CC to see if they would issue a temp onetime card with just initials etc.
