Good Sunday Morning to all,
Keep calling your Friends & emailing them and reminding of the deadline on Monday for donations.
So far we can be very proud of this first endeavor and it show the power of Team work.
By COB Monday we should have a unexpected decent Total to be proud of. This is all by word of mouth and your personal interest. We tried to get publicity as JRJ wrote no body gave us the time of day. That is OK. Only the beginning is difficult.
I am off to work now. yes, yes I know its Sunday. But some of us has to work to finish other commitments. I will jump in when ever I get a break and see what's happening here.
Once again, On behalf of Mr Brown, My sincere thanks.

Dear PureSilence,
I hope you read my previous post to you on your concern on animals and possible animal free diets. I appreciate your views there.
By the way, I don't think you need to go too strong on Mr Ekanayake. After all we are not Dickens or Lawrences to write in perfect English as such. We are either Sinhalese or Tamils. So after all if we don't know how to write our mother tongue that must be really sad. I am pretty sure Mr Ekanayake can write perfect Sinhalese.
We all are learning from time to time so no hard feelings for you on this. But I just wanted to point out that don't take things such as language adroitness or eloquence in writing in the forum.
Thanks

JRJayawardena,
I?m doing my best for the animal defence.
The beauty of life is that a few billion years ago, the earth was an inert dry rock, which over the long years has given birth to all (thath, thatha) of it, vegetals, animals, and humans.
Think of it - a rock today has the potency to become a living entity in a few billion years! This itself is enough for us to respect even the non-living!
As for Ekenayake, I am sure he takes my suggestion on language skills positively. Monolingual at 5, now I master 5 languages: a product of SL free education. It is all hard work, encouragement from kind people, opportunity etc.
I am never soft to budding young people who can really do a lot for the country and themselves with organised hard work.
Best regards.
May the guidance of Thathagatha, help us. |

PureSilence,

Great thing to hear and I am very happy.
In fact I believe we don't have a right to take another life whether its for fun or for food.
The fear of death is a brutal thing to experience as for all the things we do in life we fear death and if that is the question why do we take someone elses life?
From the mind comes the power to control everything we do and for that if accidentaly kill an animal that should not be a problem but knowing the killing what makes us all very wrong. Budu saranai

Mr. Ekanayake,
Please contact the Bank Manager or Bank of Ceylon or Peoples Bank closes to where this family lives and get the necessary forms to open a Joint account and also make two Rubber stamps for you and the Principal of your school. This is necessary for a Joint account. If possible bring these to Panadaura on the 13th.
Please go and speak to the Manager of the Bank of your choice and get the necessary info how and what should be in that rubber stamp and give me the name and telephone # of that Manager.
