Ethnicity has nothing to do with this project. It is all about bringing new life to them.
Let us know any Tamil or Muslim family who needs help. We will do our best.

Please do not make this a Sinhala Tamil issue. I am sure if Mr.B saw a Tamil family like this on YOUTUBE he would have posted for discussion.
I for one would not have a second thought to donate to a Tamil family in this situation.
Our top priority here is to shelter and secure this little hut and make it livable to this lady and 4 kids. How can they have an education when they don't have a house. Let's not get out priorities screwed up. Will take one step at a time and solve this matter and make sure once the house in order we get the kids to school also.

Of course if some body publish about a Tamil family like this..I'm ready to donate for them also....I am sure most of our members will do the same....If the supporters of the LTTE can donate millions of money every month to buy the weapons and etc for the Piraba's useless war y cant v donate little amount of money every month for few families who need a support badly.....I am ready for it....wheather tamil,sinhala or muslims......

Do you really think any one who participate in this good deed ever concern ethnicity of this family before they made their contribution?

Yes, next time we can support a Tamil/Muslim family.
I do not think anyone objects that.
Poverty knows no ethnic differences.

Well that says it all.
There are plenty of other threads to discuss ethnic issues. We should drop this argument and leave this thread as it is so that Racial and ethnic biased comments dont put off people who want to donate.

Dear all
i feel so guilty for not making any donations through paypal the quickest way because my instinct says that i should never reveal my personal identity under any circumstances.
i will not feel guilty if the call was from lalith but it is from Mr.Brown. i do feel sorry for the family and i do feel that I'm guilty of using Mr.Brown's web site for free. i may be able to donate in future if things get better back home.
right now, i can send a bankers draft by post if i get the relevant details to do so.(some one have to help me to get the details)under the given circumstances , that probably be the best way. i know sending bankers draft by postwill cost me money, that do not matter becasue i want to donate.
I'm sorry Mr.Brown and all other members.

Please for a moment doubt Mr.Brown or Me. We are not doing this to fatten our pockets. Mr.Brown saw the disturbing video and he posted on LNP for discussion. I saw it and I contact Mr.Ekanayake who is teacher in that village and he was the one who posted it. He was not seeking any donation. He just wanted to show the plight of that single parent family. I contacted him by phone and email and got the estimate to make their living hut safe and secure.
We welcome your donation and your ids will be safe with Mr.Brown and all personal info will shredded after accounts are done.
I don't think there are hidden investigators here to find out who you are. Obviously all are guilty of been inquisitive to find the actual name of a handle. The only person who openly give the name is Gaja.
So, please use the Donation Channel PAYPAL and have your transaction number handy to check out when Mr.Brown post the list of donors. If you are still hesitant I can give my email so that you can send payments to me and I will inform Mr. B of your donation. Let me know, I would like you to participate in this good deed. |
