Sithuvili:

but don't forget he has to work with others in the chain to get the things done. You know what that's mean.

When we have money, if we want to buy a piece of land and to build small house, if we can not do without the involvement of politicians, Sri Lanka should in a Really bad situation.

They dont need to be members. They could simply click on the donate link on page 1 and proceed to paypal.

Thanks!

MrBrown,

Thanks. Got it !

I assume that there are many families in that village in need of help like this. Let those politicians help them. Let us help this family. No arguments or conflicts !

Those who want to pay directly to my brother in Sri Lanka please email to worldwideis at gmail dot com or pcf2005 at rogers dot com and I will give his details.

Mr. Brown/Lalith,

Noticed the clip just now, better late than never.

I prefer the above method, request made so waiting for the details at the soonest.

Mr. Brown, Lalith and guys well done, keep up the good work.

I do not know what had happened.

Today I agree with so many, with whom I usually never agree.

AnuD,

100% agree. One of the most sensible posts you have ever made here. :-)

MrBrown,

Alternative suggestion.

Ekanayake is a part of a project Ministry of Education doing right now.

So if you seriously seek govt involvement (which I do not recommend) join hands with Education Ministry through him which is logical and easier.

LalithS,

What Ministry of Indigenous Medicine can do the family?

They cannot buy lands etc. They can only give some 'kasaaya' and I do not think it is what required now.

Mr. Brown, this politico dude probably a good fellow but don't forget he has to work with others in the chain to get the things done.

I could not quite follow what the ha hoo is all about. But, seeing how things work in Sri Lanka, it may not be bad idea to get a politician involved. Of course, they want some piece of the action...

I do not think we need to care, as long as this poor family gets a decent place to live a sustainable life... Just building a house will not make their life... they have kids and they have to eat and send the kids to schools etc...

As someone who did donate some money to this cause, I feel that this poor family will be better served by an existing civil administration taking care of the situation than a bunch of virtual people trying to do things that need local support for them to survive in the long run...

I also wants to draw the attention to the fact that this is a Sinhala family. There are thousands of Tamils living under even worst conditions in various parts of the island. If this LNP is to make any lasting contribution towards bringing peace to the communities, I suggest to Mr. Brown, Laliths and others, to locate a similar Tamil family, may be even a Muslim family, and make similar kind of good gesture...I hope all our Sinhala friends will be as equally supportive to a such family as well.
