NALE
But 99% who wears robes in the pariah state are.
Perhaps with the same maths you ca deduce that 99% of all Tamils are terrorists. |

A monk is calling muslims as camels.
It is monks like these and the gullible Buddhists who take them seriously, who will force the Muslims to join the Tamils of the East. Then these brave warriors will do the marathon from Ampara to Mahiynagane. They wont have a Deegavapi even to talk about.
Where were these brave warriors all these years when the LTTE was calling the shots in the East?
If the Camels of the East did not bravely face the atrocities of the LTTE for more than 2 decades to remain firm in the East without running away, would there have been an East to liberate?
Or if the Camels joined hands with the koti, wouldn't Ealam have been established long years ago?
Now those who made the REAL sacrifice for an undivided Sri Lanka are being labelled Camels by the brave warriors in yellow garb.
My sincere advice is don't forget the Camels are fondly called by the Tamils as 'Thoppipirattis' or turn coats. Push them too much and they will join the other side and then even 300,000 soldiers won't be enough to defend the East. |

What has been the benefit so far from having monks as a political power within the political life ?
misery to the whole islanders and insult to Buddhism and Buddha.
these monks are stuck between the rule of democracy and the rule of a king/queen. the monks in SL should been confined to the temple as soon as the British left the island. |

Eelan,
Are you happy if the Sinhalese tell you that 99% monks are terrorists? If that makes you happy I would say lets make you happy at least your blood pressure level will not go too high.
Btw, what makes a monk terrorist? any ideas eelan?

Tiger Lady,
from that interesting youtube video on your page i remember two different fractions within the Sri Lankan monks.
One seems to be keen on political control, the other one prefers to focus on spiritual contributions and to do good outside the political field.
How would you describe the relations between the Muslim and Tamil Sri Lankans ?. |

Monks should stay out if politics and preach in Temples!
they seems to think that they guided the kings in the past ,so they want to guide the president in the present too while seeking the foremost place in politics . the monks tell lots of conspiracy theories against the Tamils forgetting their for fathers were one time Tamils.

JRJayawardena, how are you?
there is a response to your views in the other thread. Perhaps you may find a minute to extend that discussion.
Do you find it beneficial that the Sri Lankan monks have captured such a large political influence ? You have been very critical with the political leaders. How about JHU and JVP ?
Again thanks for looking into this.
