A high-powered delegation led by Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Presidential advisor Basil Rajapaksa and Presidential Secretary Lalith Weeratunga yesterday flew to India to discuss the current security situation of the country with their Indian counterparts.
A statement issued by the defence ministry yesterday said `the delegation will discuss with their counterparts topics pertaining to current national security, the economy and political situation in Sri Lanka.`

Probably need to get some technical assistance for the
LOCKING-IN CAMPAIGN.
All we need is for the Indians to control their territorial waters in such a way that Velu's Supply Chain Management System gets =rusty=. Seems to me as if there are a little bit too many fishermen hanging around up there close to the maritime border.

May be just to re- assure India, the Mig-29 purchase is only to 'contain' the LTTE threat .. (of intentions to maintain the 'best' of possible relations with India).
