Paris, 03 September, (Asiantribune.com): Sri Lanka embassy premises in Paris is attacked and damaged. The flag pole and the national flag too were destroyed on the early hours of Sunday, according reports.

Sri Lanka Embassy statement revealed that miscreants alleged to be involved in the acts of vandalism belonged to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.

This is the first time ever, a Sri Lanka diplomatic mission was attacked in a European country.

Sure, SLA got beaten badly before. In case if you have not noticed, SLA is better equipped, better trained and better prepared now. LTTE was split after Karuna departure. LTTE has less areas of control so that they cannot recruit kids as much as they used to. Tide has turned and I believe it is for the betterment of the people this time. It will be ideal to have tamils in the police force in tamil dominated areas.

Claymore attack on STF in Batticaloa

TamilNet, Sunday, 02 September 2007, 12:12 GMT

Unidentified persons triggered a Claymore device Saturday around 11:00 a.m targeting a Sri Lanka special Task Force (STF) unit at Ma'ndapaththadi in Ka'n'nangkudaa, Batticaloa district, sources in Batticaloa said. Senior Superintendent of Police, H. M. P. Herath, said no one was injured. Residents of the area, however, said that an STF trooper and a civilian were injured in the explosion.

Further details are not known.

What are you talking, buddy! Even a bullet is not manufactured in the country, though Modayas had engaged in war for 30 years! Tigers are assembling planes and many other warfare, domestically!.....

Oneday, Southerners have to go begging in the North! Imagine a day when Tamil Eelam will become the biggest foreign aid doner to Sri Lanka (or the remaining part of SRi Lanka)!
