By all respect for the SLA, it does seem to be a bit early to judge.
The US military has brought down Saddam, but failed to create peace and stability until now.
The real job will be handling militant insurgents and desperado extremists from both sides and to build a lasting infrastructure for the Sri Lankan Tamils.

The only difference is, Sri Lankan Tamils are starting to realise that there is no future for them with the LTTE. So with the civilians support, SLDF will be able to keep the area under control. |

The only road to success and to reduce human losses is to win their hearts.
Any incident like rape, looting etc. will be disastrous. But it is up to the officers to enforce discipline and a constructive attitude. |
