i know the war wont come to an end by this year or next year , but i know that poor GoSL have no money to run the military machine too even if they export all the young women to middle east . |

We were all Aiyas, Mallis, Akkas and Nangies.
We were family. we fought, we laughed, we played and occasionally we got punished for our mischief, like in any family.
I hate those who aim to break our family, amongst our differences we must be as one.
After living 25 years in the UK I know that even the british first learnt about multiculturalism & democracy from us. The british had no concept of MC before they arrived at Sri Lanka. This became very useful to appease the people after the 2nd WWar (until then the british only believed in slavery).
The Hela people have a history that is much civilised and the world is slowly waking up to that through research. The unique depth of compassion and harmony with nature of the Theravada Dhamma is gaining admiration towards our country from all quaters of the western world.
After 25 years in Britain I can easily be called a british more than a Sri Lankan. But I don't want that. Even if I was born a british I would yern to be a Sri Lankan as there is more substance, depth & meaning to be proud of being one.
