In my opinion this structure would be a good reference point for as long as it?s adapted to the local situation and not just a copy and past.

Thank you! Absolutely right, it has to be tuned wisely to match the needs of all Sri Lankans.

Tigress had brought up this Swiss suggestion whilst discussing ideas for a better constitution with more rights to the regions and protecting minorities within a federal state.

Sinhalese have to provide safety and a structure in which Tamils can feel comfortable.

I remember that, quite some time ago, even some members of Velu^s Fan Club went to Switzerland to study their system.

My guess is they were more interested in eating Cheese Fondue and enjoying themselves in the Swiss Alps than anything else. At least I didn't hear any single reference to this system in any of the Geneva peace negotiations.
Last time the only thing the LTTE could think of was to cry about the A9 closure.

A friend is tripping around the world with Mahinda's delegations. He is a really nice guy and i like him. But pls. do not ask me if that makes sense for SL.

You are, right LTTE and GOSL seem to be more creative in other fields rather than in finding political solutions.
