not because they are LTTE, but because they feel for their cause....If you had been to any Tamil function in any Western country you would know.
I know people who were not LTTE, but, LAter because of LTTE help they stopped socializing with Sinhala people.
Nowa days, I don't see LTTE functions. They seem died down.

I think, this is a good interview.
President should do the same thing to make People of Sri lanka understand what they want to hear.
Politicians should stop talking rubbish in order to make people happy. Instead should talk the reality and their genuine attempts to solve problem and what solutions are bringing every day.
that way, other corrupt politicians of the opposition will go to the back. |

Look at the Ministers of SL govt... even monks... look what that JHU monk did with his car permit... What you say are social ills created as a result of suffering for a long time...

So, every dumb person overseas know about tamils as BLACK TIGERS.
ur right it is not only every dumb overseas person even sri lankans do look at every Tamil as a Black Tiger..That is the saddest part..I have a Sinhalese friend whose name has a Raja at the end and he is always looked as a Tamil. We are used to living with that for a long time..
It is very similar to what we think of a Muslim name..we think ah..Al Qaida or a terrorist..if the Muslim guy has a beard he is surely a terrorist..well we do think ..don't deny it..even in the Cricket field if you remember The South African Amala who is a Muslim and has a beard was called a Terrorist on air by Dean Jones and dean was removed!!It is quite common and hard to change it. |

I apologize about my comments... I am sorry, I never suspected Pera to be Prof. Tenabandu... Pera's previous comments alluded to he being young...
This Pera guy is from 1986 A/L batch. Not an old guy. This guy must have found a job in overseas. Still haven't settled down to access internet.

To make peace you need both parties to agree on a minimum of points.
Since LTTE is and will never agree on anything, full attention and support should be given to the largest possible representation of the Tamil population. Anyway, the days of the =SOLE DESTRUCTION REPRESENTATIVES= are counted and they should be isolated. The majority of the population in HELLAM want peace and the challenge is to support them in a democratic way. What is needed is a democratically elected dialog partner to talk to GOSL.
Sometimes we need to =shake the coconut tree= and take different ways to find a solution. Guess the Norwegian won?t like this way for very obvious reasons, but who cares. If it allows us to get out of this dark tunnel, we might as well test it.
