[[Tigga,[To:- VINI the punnaku]
[Very sad indeed. No one in SL deserves to live like that, because if all of us can grow up to see the advantage of pulling together these folks would be living differently. The paramount, burning issue of SISSLs, TASSLs and others is widespread poverty... not seeking fake liberation, self-determination.., another homeland and what not!
So you make your own conclusion]]
VINI the punnaku, the Question is , i know you are loaded, how much are you going to donate to the family? we expect quite handsomely from you as you talk!!

It is paramount that this family shoud be helped immediately.
Will the same generosity be shown by the LNP members, irrespective of belonging to whichever race, to the thousands of families in the North and East, who are in the same predicament,if not worse.

Sure, I will donate. I guess I need not disclose how much!
BTW I'm surprised to see you are concerned of these good deeds... You cannot be like me, I thought.

Nale,

Lets help this family as a start now and make arrangement to help other in North and East. If I remember this is the first of this sort to come our way.
ekanayake wrote to me as I left a msg in his blog site. I will be there end of this year and I will make a trip up there and tell you all the progress.
I am sure the publicity generated here would have already drawn attention to this matter. Hope Ekanayaka make some arrangements and let us know a reliable person or institute to send funds soon.

Homelessness is not the same as houslessness.
Over simplifying incredibly complex issues such as cycles of war, decease and poverty may bring some temporary comfort to ones consciousness.
That?s all well and good, but I believe that ultimately it?s the state that requires attending to issues of this nature through targeted poverty alleviation programmes at local, national or even international levels.
Unfortunately, there?s very little political will in the country for such efforts.
The level of business confidence determines the election success and the market is fine for the people who are in it and in the absence of the safety net those who are not hitting the ground is inevitable.
The MR government seems to have exceptional interests at heart and grassroots levels. To a reasonable extent the government is tune with the needs of the masses.
Show some colours Mr. President.

Mr. Brown,
First Step: I have requested a contact in SL to locate this family. Once I get an update I will do another post. If any member here has means in SL to locate this family let me know.
I am visiting SL at the end of the year and have a relative and few friends in that area. I do not know how you are going to plan the whole thing, but if you need any help, I can get more details about the family first.
I was in that area few years ago and real state property is very cheap. $2000 will be enough to buy one acre land with small house. But $5000 will not do any harm.
As I wrote earlier, I can get all details, if necessary.
Regards.
