Arch hypocrite .. He holds up Sr Lankan currency to show it is of 'little' value .. and then on the other side does his best to dissuade foreign banks from granting loans, for developmental purposes .. more specifically for developing the Eastern province. (Vital for proceeding against VP - on the 'economic front', as well as for benefiting the peoples of the Eastern province).
Of course he knows well what his actions in attempting to stop 'aid-flow' would do. Hard-ship to people in the Eastern province - a steadily worsening situation as regards employment, more pressure on developmental activity in general (affecting whole country), set-back to foreign investments in Sri Lanka .. all of which, he'd be happy to see. He would like to see the country 'brought to its knees' .. hoping people would 'go in supplication' to him, and plead with him to 'save the country' from its plight.
Fact of the matter is .. he has a lot to answer for the current situation in the country .. if it is in the 'economic doldrums', as he alleges.

This is why people chose someone else as their president.....irrespective of party politics.....!
As we can see.... clash in between the patriotic and the unpatriotic forces in SL has polarized the society to a great extent......

As I keep saying, isn't it amazing how all the tamil tigers (EG havesomehay) are suddenly supporting this traitor ranil. ahh well, I guess the scum in sri lanka like to stick together. I think traitor ranil is more worried about the fate of the LTTE than VP himself.
I'm guessing all this pro UNP talk from the LTTE goons came about after the LTTE openly told their supporters to back the UNP if they wanted the eel dream to stay alive.
