Iqbal Athas used what ever access he has for his selfish needs. He should not have written that kind of things.

GOSL is not confidant enough to separate PRESS FREEDOM and the ABUSE OF PRESS FREEDOM.

He should have been arrested and questioned.


Typical Silly Lankan behavior.

Arrest the reporter but nothing said about the cop who stole the mobile phone.

Thats the way to go. The true nature of the people the Tamils want to distance from.

Before you say and argue read the news carefully...not only the tamilnut.....there are other news sources....The policemen already arrested and the case will bring to the court....

I ment success rate of the 'TINCANS' if better than SLAF MIGs. They don't bomb schools , hospitals civilian targets and the like. Every TAF mission was on target and on the military never on civilians.
why Dr. Phill is he an expert on MIGs?
Maybe you should ask him to fly the MIGs for you?
I am sure he will not bomb children and girls.

These millions are belong to poor citizens in sri lanka.We cant encourage anybody to mess around with that.

Please let opp leader to do his job, let Iqbal Athayas to do his job.

SLAF is only the End user. Procurement decisions and processing were done by the Private company headed by Gothabhaya. Why not interview him. Has he refused to be interviewed on the matter??? Fighter Pilots will fly any CART bought for them.

SLAF is the Guinea pig.

Sri Lanka names suspects in killings of Red Cross workers
Associated Press, Fri August 17, 2007 14:13 EDT . - - COLOMBO, Sri Lanka - (AP) Suspects in the deaths of two Red Cross workers have been identified, Sri Lanka's government said Friday, announcing a reward for information on the alleged ringleader's whereabouts. The two workers S. Shanmugalingam and K. Chandramohan, residents of Sri Lanka's eastern Batticaloa district had been in the capital, Colombo, for a workshop in early June. Colleagues said they were at a train station on their way home when they were taken away by men who claimed to be police.

The two were later found dead with gunshot wounds to the head, about 95 kilometers (60 miles) from Colombo.

The government has offered 1 million rupees (US$9,000 euro6,600) for any clue leading to the arrest of Vivekananthan, who has been in hiding since the killings, the statement said.

Both Shanmugalingam and Chandramohan were ethnic Tamils, a minority group on whose behalf the separatist Tamil Tiger rebels claim to fight.

The government says suspected gang ringleader, Vivekananthan, is also a Tamil and a Batticaloa resident.
