Sri Lanka to host counter-terror confab

Sri Lanka is to host an International Conference on Countering Terrorism (ICCT) in October, Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama announced yesterday, adding that several eminent personalities involved in dealing with terrorism activities would attend it.
The conference is being organized by the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute in association with the Foreign Affairs Ministry and would be held at the BMICH from October 18 to 20.
The theme of the conference will be `Terrorism: A Challenge to Democratically Elected Governments`, highlighting the challenges to democratically elected governments by terrorists and would discuss strategies to counter such threats.
`The special guest of honor will be renowned French investigating magistrate in charge of counter terrorism affairs, Judge Jean Louis Bruguiere. Besides being credited as having tracked down and captured one of the world`s most wanted terrorists Carlos `the Jackal`, he has been involved in the UTA flight 772 case. Judge Bruguiere also investigated the LTTE`s illegal fund raising activities in France,` Minister Bogollagama said.
The conference will devote an entire session to the theme `Transforming terrorists.` Minister Bogollagama noted that this reflects the government`s continued commitment to seek a negotiated settlement with the LTTE, notwithstanding past failures.

LTTE is the masters of the terrorism.They are the mother of all devils.If world wants to eradicate the terrorism from the Globe, most vital step is to destroy tamil tiger organization which has got wide network with international terrorists.World must unite to stop ltte terrorists spreading their killing techniqes to golbal terrorists.LTTE has killed more than 65000 of people.Most of them are tamils against them.World must focus their attention on them before it is too late.Most world venerated Neru son Rajiv was brutaly murdered by VP & LTTE.

This is really ironic the Terrorist state is hosting an International conference on Countering Terrorism! This is just like Hitler's' Germany, which hosted the Olympic games in 1936.
The Sinhalese are trying so hard to equate the LTTE to Al Qaeda Terrorists, but too bad no one is buying that, including the United States. The western newspapers never call the LTTE as Terrorists, they only say as 'Rebels'.
They know the difference between Rebels and Terrorists, but the Sinhalayas are calling the LTTE as terrorists to hide the Sinhala State Terrorism against the Tamil minority.
The Sorry Lankan Terror state can host all kind of conference and spend the poor Sri Lankan tax payers' money, but the world would still tell the so called sovereign state of Sri Lanka to talk to the so called Terrorists. LOL :)
I feel sorry for the Sinhalese, they are still trying to replace 'Uncle Tom' Kadirkamar, but sadly no Sinhalayas are smart enough to fill the vacuum left by the Tamil Kadirkamar.
The Sri Lankan version of 'Chemical Ali' Bokollagama thinks that western diplomats are modayas like the Sinhalese to equate the LTTE with Al Qaeda. Even recently, the US Ambassador and United States report on Terrorism clearly stated that the LTTE is only fighting against the SL government and they are not a threat to foreign countries or any other governments.
The LTTE is not banned in the United States. It is only proscribed and many more political organizations are proscribed in the United States including one Israeli organization.
Many openly sympathizers and supporters of LTTE are living in the United States, including the Legal Advisor to the LTTE. The LTTE's legal advisor Visvanathan Rudrakumaran lives and practice law in the New York state.
No one is listening to the Sinhalese and equating the LTTE with Al Qaeda. I feel sorry for them. I think with this Terrorism mantra the Sinhalese are becoming more and more stupid.
Dr.Allan Rock to Sir. John Holmes, every respected western diplomats and politicians are revealing the real face of Sinhala Terrorist State. Ms.Louise Arbor, the UN War Crime Tribunal chief and a Proud Canadian, who understands the plight of Sri Lankan Tamils well is due to arrive in Sri Lanka soon to reveal more and more truth about the State Terrorism unleashed on the innocent Tamil people.

Since the SL government is accused of being responsible for the highest number of disapoperances, killing of aid workers, elected MPs, jouranalists and no proper investigation taken place to find the culprits SL may be a suitable place to raise questions to find the answers?
It could also be the case of thief joining the crowd in looking for the culprit to exclude himself. |

| Finally, finally world has recognised the value of Sri Lanka as the best country in the world for fighting terrorism. If LTTE is the world's most ruthless terrorists and other terrorists in the world including Al Queda copy their methods, how valuable is Sri Lanka's techniques and know how in fighting terrorism. SL can gain lot of foreign exchange sending our expert defense personnels to USA, UK, Europe, Middle East, and so on. Long live SL defnes force. |
