Thinakkural journalist K.P. Mohan was admitted to the Accident Ward of the Colombo National Hospital after an unidentified gang threw acid at him yesterday afternoon, just weeks after he was allegedly harassed and assaulted by a group of Airmen.

Anyone please tell me which country is the first?

Is it British occupied Iraq? Afghanistan? Any idea?

LTTE does not need to do any PR work with International Community the GOSL ministers are doing the job for them.

I think Sri Lanka is the only country in the world where the UN condemns the ruling government instead of the rebels.

When the Rebels are more civilized than the government it is time to empower the rebels.

Your statement lacks the credibility, UN has the power to control governments but not terrorist organizations and more than few times former secretary general criticized US president and US foreign policy due to its inadequateness toward human rights and civil rights.

According to HOlmes, Reuters lied.

I was not of course suggesting either to Reuters or in my discussions with you that the Government was not concerned about these issues and were not trying to protect humanitarian workers, but simply referring factually to the terrible incidents that have taken place and the need to step up even further all our efforts to prevent such things in future. That was my consistent message throughout.
