What...

If we don't worry about Tamils, who will?

VP? Forget! How can he help Tamils by being 6 feet under in a bunker?

Solheim? Forget! now he is supporting women in Africa, not the Tamil terrorists!

Spokesman for UN General Secy says: 'Holmes may have been factually correct ..'.

Possibly .. but he does not seem to have 'weighed-in' the 'contribution from the local Manager of subj NGO to this tragic event. She would have known, they were operating under LTTE 'tutelage' .. whom to provide support .. and whom 'not to'. She should have been aware of the 'resentment' from the local Muslim population, to their presence (in the Muttur area), and what she could expect in the after-math .. if the LTTE was displaced from their 'controlling' position.

She did nothing to save her employees .. and at the last moment abandoned them .. bolted from the scene, 'trying to save her skin'. In that too, she was un-successful .. trying to 'rush' past a check-point without responding to the challenge, her vehicle came 'under fire', and she was killed. (She was a Norwegian .. a relative of the Norwegian chief of the SLMM / Monitoring Mission, of that time).

UN, ACF and the Norwegians have all gone out of their way to 'absolve' this woman (local Manager of the NGO), of her failure to take responsibility at a crucial stage .. when 'power was changing hands'. This is what is called 'War Risk' .. there is no 'insurance coverage' for this sort of situation.

(Most likely party responsible for this event .. Muslim 'home guards' .. who were first on the scene, on the 'heels' of the local LTTE group, as they 'ran-off' for their lives).

First of all, I don't think that Holmes even started to allude who committed the Muttur massacre.....

Secondly, you description of events fall on the fact that ACF never has had a Norwegian employee in Muttur (or anywhere in Trincomalee district) AND the fact that the Head of SLMM of the time was not even Norwegian (Ulf Henricson is Swedish). There was a rumour at the time about a European woman found dead in an ambulance, but that proved to be a rumour and not a correct one at that. Had what you claim happened, you can be assured there would have been much more media coverage, as while you might get away with murdering brown Sri Lankans, murdering white folk would certainly have created the mother of all sh*tstorms.

(Most likely party responsible for this event .. Muslim 'home guards' .. who were first on the scene, on the 'heels' of the local LTTE contingent, as they 'ran-off' for their lives).

That's not what I am hearing from people who were in Muttur at the time. I am sure the government probe will ultimately reveal who committed this crime.

Don't hold your breath.......
Some people never learn. In Sorry Lanka when the GoSL commits any crime nothing ever comes out. End of story.
Who is this moron talking about probes?
